It’s important to really think things over before spending lots of time and money on a college tuition. The hones truth is that it all depends on if college is right for you or not. For many people it is, and for many others, it isn’t. Colleges aren’t one size fits all institutions, and they don’t tailor to everyone’s needs. Many people fail out because they don’t take college seriously or because they genuinely don’t want to be there. College isn’t easy, and it won’t be a piece of cake. There are people who just aren’t college material, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
If you enjoy learning, like to attend classes regularly, and want a higher education, it’s worth it for you. If you turn in your work on time and take education seriously, it’s worth the time and money. If you don’t get good grades no matter how hard you try, it’s not worth it for you. If you like to play hookie and only want a job that requires high school education, or want to carry on the family business, college isn’t for you. If you want a high paying job that requires a college degree, college is worth it. If you’re an aspiring entertainer and hate school, it’s best not to waste your time. We all have options in life, and sometimes going to college isn’t the best one.
Going to college for the wrong reasons is a mistake. It isn’t fair to you, and it won’t be fair to your professors either. Many people go to college because they feel like they need to have a college degree to feel whole. You’re never incomplete just because you don’t have a college diploma hanging on your wall. You can do many great things and accomplish many goals with or without a college degree. You won’t be a nobody just because you didn’t go to college.
College isn’t for everyone, especially those who aren’t willing to work for their grades. If you have plans and goals that don’t require college, don’t bother going. You don’t have to go to college to expand your mind or get real world experience. It’s important to remember that you only get out of college what you put into it. If you only want to have fun in college, it isn’t worth it. To make the right decision, you just listen to your inner self and trust your own judgment. If you don’t have a college diploma, it won’t make you any worse than someone who does have one.
