Leeds Metropolitan University is located in the city of Leeds in the county of Yorkshire, England. The university has invested a substantial amount of money into the campus and prides itself on its modern tall buildings such as Broadcasting House, Rose Bowl and the Leslie Silver building, which houses the library which is open all year, twenty four hours a day seven days a week.
The university has over four thousand furnished rooms which are located in nine buildings in and around both campuses. The majority of the accommodation is in purpose built town houses and flats. The majority of the accommodation offers study/bedroom, some of which are en suite, shared kitchen and bathroom, laundry facilities and social area. Priority is given to first year students and adapted rooms are available for students with disabilities. Prices for rooms vary according to the type of accommodation.
The university offers a wide range of support services in all areas of university life, including financial, faith, disability, careers, equality, counselling and child care.
The students union is an independent resource run by students that can be found on both campuses. The students union offers support and advice in respect to all areas of university life and provides a number of bars, eating outlets, groups and societies.
