City College Coventry is a large further education college based in Coventry, West Midlands, England. City College was established in 2002 and provides placements for over twelve thousand students offering ‘A’ level, GCSE, NVQ, Diploma, degree and Modern Apprenticeship courses. Full and part time courses include Business Admin, Computing, Engineering, English Language, Art, Fashion, Hairdressing, Science and Healthcare.
Coventry is a thriving medium sized city that can be accessed by road and rail. The city is less than twenty minutes drive from Birmingham International Airport and London is only one hour by rail. Coventry is close to many beautiful areas including Stratford upon Avon, Warwick and Leamington Spa. Coventry is home to a large student population and provides a wide and varied range of shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, social and sporting facilities.
City College does not provide accommodation but can refer students to local home stay families. In addition Coventry has a wide range of rooms, flats and houses available for students to rent.
City College Campus is located in the centre of Coventry and is five minutes’ walk from the main bus station and fifteen minutes walk from the rail station. The campus provides modern facilities including two restaurants, project room, multi faith prayer room, hair and beauty salons, student union and sporting facilities.
City College has up to date teaching resources including one hundred and twenty classrooms and workshops, science laborites, library, performing arts and graphic design studios and vehicle engineering workshops.
The Student Support Centre is available to all students that attend the college.
The college does not provide child care for student’s children but the Support Centre offers advice regarding local facilities and provides financial support.
Individual counseling is available to all students.
All the buildings in City College are wheelchair friendly and equipped with lifts. The college also provides aids, individual support and advice for students with any form of disability.
Students with a learning disability or who are struggling with courses can receive individual advice and support
The welfare team is available to assist students who are experiencing difficulties in any area of college or personal life.
The Student’s Union is an independent organization run by students for students that provide social activities and support for all students attending the college.
