University College London is a multi faculty teaching and research facility, which has three campuses located in London, one in Adelaide, Australia and one in Doha, Qatar. The university’s main campus is situated in the centre of London near to Euston station, in the Bloomsbury area. The university provides placements for over twenty thousand post graduate and graduate, full and part time students and offers ten faculties ranging from Arts and Sciences to East European Studies.

Accommodation

Student accommodation comprises of catering and self catering buildings and is available to first year undergraduate students. All the accommodation is situated close to transport links and teaching facilities. Catered accommodation provides a room, communal areas, laundry and two meals a day. The self catering student houses and flats provide a kitchen and shared communal areas. Accommodation for couples or families with children is limited.

The student’s union is a useful resource for all students, providing support and a range of social, sports and leisure facilities.

University Support

The university provides a support website, psychological services, assistance for care leavers, rights and advice centre, health centre and day nursery.

Disabled Students

A disability service is available to assist students and provides information and support such as note taking, mentoring and study skills tuition.  Whilst most of the university’s buildings are wheel chair friendly some of older buildings have restricted access.

Campuses

Bloomsbury Campus

The campus in Bloomsbury provides study and teaching facilities including access to a court room, engineering centre, fine art studio and workshop. On site there is also a language and study information centre, theatre, museum, gym and swimming pool

Archway and Whittington Campuses

Both these campuses are based in working hospitals, the Royal Free in Hampstead and the Whittington in Archway, North London.

Adelaide Campus

The university’s Adelaide in Australia campus caters for students studying Energy and Resources. The campus offers teaching and study facilities, a personal tutor system and counselling service.

Qatar

Based in Doha this campus focuses on teaching Archaeology of the Arab and Islamic World and Conservation and Museum Studies. The campus is located in the Hamad bin Khalifa University on the outskirts of Doha.
