Located in the centre of Scotland surrounded by rugged mountains and beautiful lochs, Stirling is a city that successfully merges the old and the new. Stirling University

Situated near to the city this teaching and research university offers graduate and postgraduate courses and has seven schools, social science, arts and humanities, education, natural sciences, nursing, midwifery and health, sport and management. Courses range from accounting to sports studies.

University Campuses

Stirling Campus

Located approximately 3.2km from the centre of the city and near to the town of Bridge of Allen the campus sits in the grounds of a three hundred and ten acre estate. Overlooked by the Ochil Hills and surrounding a loch, the campus provides a tranquil and beautiful environment to live and study. The campus is self contained providing  teaching and study areas, library, golf course, driving range, swimming pool, badminton and squash courts, fitness centre, playing fields, cafes, shops, theatre, cinema, bar, nightclub, bank , chemist and supermarket

The Highland and Western Isle Campuses.

Located in Inverness and Stornaway the two campuses house students studying nursing and midwifery.

Highland Campus is located in the busy city of Inverness which is in the Scottish Highlands.

Located in the grounds of Raigmore Hospital, the campus provides accommodation, teaching and study areas and a library, 

Stornaway is a large port town in the Western Isles

Located in Western Isles Hospital the campus provides all the facilities that are within the hospital and a library.


Located near to teaching facilities, accommodation is offered to all first year students. The self catering accommodation is located in halls of residence and comprises of a bedroom/study some with en suite facilities, shared kitchen, bathroom, social areas and laundry facilities.

Offered to all students are a range of support services including information, disability, personal developments, learning, finances and careers.

 Student’s Union

The students union is an independent body run by students. Located on the main campus it provides support in all areas of university life, plus bars, eating outlets, social areas, newspaper, TV station, clubs, societies and social events.
